How to Make the Perfect 52North Old Fashioned
Ingredients you’ll need:
• 60ml 52North No.8 Spiced Rum
• 1 sugar cube (or 1 tsp demerara sugar syrup)
• 2–3 dashes Angostura bitters
• Orange peel, to garnish
• Ice (large cube preferred)
Steps to follow:
1. Add the sugar cube to a chilled Old Fashioned glass.
2. Dash in the bitters and a small splash of water, then gently muddle until the sugar dissolves.
3. Drop in a large ice cube and pour over 60ml of 52North No.8 Spiced Rum.
4. Stir slowly for 20–30 seconds to chill and balance.
5. Express the oils from an orange peel across the glass, then twist and drop it in.
