At 52North, we don’t do complicated. We make rum that tastes good without the ceremony. We believe the best spring drinks are the ones that let the spirit do the heavy lifting, not your bar skills.
We’ve put together five fresh drinks for the new season using our own range. No fancy tools, no rare ingredients. Just bright, sharp flavours designed for longer evenings and brighter days.

The Strawberry and Basil Smash
- 50ml 52North Yuzu Lime Rum Liqueur
- 3-4 fresh strawberries
- A few basil leaves
- Soda water
- Ice
Our Yuzu Lime replaces the need for extra lemons and sugar in one go. It’s sharp, zesty, and tastes like something you’ve never had before. Smash fresh strawberries and basil together gives it that garden-fresh finish spring demands. Put all your ingredients over ice into a shaker, shake & pour. It’s light, playful, and easy to keep refilling.
The Northern Air Mail
- 50ml 52North Spiced Rum
- 15ml Lime Juice
- 10ml Honey
- Top with Prosecco
The first BBQ of the year usually needs something better than a warm beer. Our spiced rum brings a hint of caramel that makes the fizz taste expensive without you having to try too hard. It’s a celebratory drink for when the sun finally stays out past 6 PM.
Caramel Iced Coffee
- 60ml 52North Chocolate Caramel Rum Liqueur
- A splash of cold brew coffee (or a chilled espresso)
- A bit of double cream or milk
- Ice
Spring evenings still have a bit of a nip to them. This is for that in-between time. Our Chocolate Caramel liqueur is silk-smooth and replaces any need for extra sugar. It’s a simple 1,2,3, pour and dessert in a glass, minus the effort. Think after-dinner energy, not novelty sweetness.
The Grapefruit Refresher
- 50ml 52North Spiced Rum
- A big splash of pink grapefruit juice
- A squeeze of lime
- Fresh mint and soda
- Plenty of ice
Most spring drinks are far too sweet. This one isn’t. The bitterness of the grapefruit meets our award-winning spiced rum to keep things crisp. It looks great, but more importantly, it actually tastes like a proper drink.
The Yuzu and Pineapple Daiquiri
- 60ml 52North Yuzu Lime Rum Liqueur
- 40ml Pineapple juice
- A squeeze of lime
- Ice for shaking
A classic Daiquiri can be a bit boring. Using our yuzu lime liqueur gives it a bit more soul. Shake it with loads of ice and it’s short, sharp, and meticulously smooth. It’s the easiest way to feel like you’re on holiday before you’ve actually booked one.
